Free-Standing Hoarding Design
Free-standing hoardings deliver a versatile, damage-free solution for any retail environment. Engineered to stand securely on their own, these hoardings eliminate the need for ceiling braces or drilling into mall tiles.
Our Free-standing hoardings are installed with a painted finish of your choice and are constructed with panels supported entirely with counterweights that ensure stability without permanent fixings.
Beyond structural benefits, once installed our Free-standing hoardings offer smooth finish ready for your branding, project timelines or safety messages, vinyl can be adhered directly onto the panels giving a sleek, professional finish that enhances customer experience while clearly delineating work zones or event areas. And because no ceiling braces or tile penetrations are required, you avoid costly repairs and maintenance down the line.
Engineered & Compliant
The NXGN Hoarding System is fully engineered and rigorously tested to meet the requirements of AS 4687.3:2022 for temporary hoardings. Our panels withstand a 150 J impact from a 37 kg pendulum at four critical points—without penetration, connection failure, cracking, or overturning—ensuring robust performance under site conditions
To guard against overturning from external forces, each 2.4 m-high assembly has passed the simulated climbing test, maintaining the specified test load for in excess of three minutes without movement or instability
The NXGN Hoarding System is backed by a Certificate of Structural Design Adequacy issued by an third-party independent structural engineer, confirming that NXGN meets AS 4687.1:2022 and AS 4687.3:2022
Hoarding Certification
Every NXGN Hoarding installation is accompanied by a tailored Certificate of Installation, which formally confirms structural adequacy and compliance. Issued on completion of works, the certificate details site-specific information—centre name, address, job name and number, installation date, and bears the signatures of our authorised installers
The Certificate of Installation certifies that your hoarding has been installed in accordance with the NXGN Installation of Panel & Practical Hoardings Guidelines and pre-certified structural design criteria. It also documents compliance with all relevant Australian Standards, including:
- AS 4687.1:2022 Temporary Fencing and Hoardings
- AS 1720.1-2010 Timber Structures Code
- AS 1684.2:2021 Timber Framing Code
- AS 1859.1:2017 Reconstituted Wood-based Panels
Detailed Hoarding Markup & Dimensions
Before any installation begins, we provide every client with a bespoke hoarding markup that clearly outlines hoarding dimensions and access points. This dimensioned drawing details lineal lengths, heights, angled returns and emergency door openings—ensuring your site plan aligns perfectly with on-site conditions.
By reviewing and approving this annotated plan in advance, you can coordinate branding, signage placement and site logistics without surprises. Any adjustments — whether for dynamic mall conditions or additional access are easily incorporated at this stage.
With an approved dimensioned markup in hand, installation crews work faster and more accurately, minimising downtime and guaranteeing that your hoardings fit flawlessly. This upfront clarity delivers peace of mind and prevents potential costly on-site modifications keeping your project on schedule.
Environmentally Friendly
Our NXGN hoarding system is designed with sustainability at its core. Every panel is built for reuse, eliminating single-use waste and reducing the environmental impact of temporary site separation.
When a project wraps up, we strip off all vinyl graphics and take panels back to our workshop for refurbishment. Each panel is carefully sanded, patched and repainted, restoring it to showroom condition and readying it for its next installation. This closed-loop process not only conserves resources but also keeps hoardings looking fresh, project after project.
By choosing NXGN, you're partnering with a team committed to circular-economy principles. Our reuse cycle diverts tonnes of timber and substrate from landfill each year, lowers your carbon footprint, and demonstrates that high-performance site safety can go hand-in-hand with genuine environmental responsibility.
