Standards & Compliance
All NXGN Panel Hoardings must comply with AS 4687:2022 — Temporary Fencing and Hoardings. The system is classified as "internal temporary hoarding" under this standard. Every installation must meet the requirements set out in the Australian Standard to ensure the safety of workers, occupants and the general public.
Critical Requirements
- All dimensions are in millimetres — do not scale drawings
- Installation, moving or alteration must be performed by a competent installer only
- No substitution of materials or components without structural engineer approval
- Hoardings are not designed for additional loading — no items to be leant against hoardings
Material Requirements
All materials used in Panel Hoarding construction must meet or exceed the following minimum specifications:

Timber Quality
Timber used in hoarding construction must be free of defects at joints. This includes:
- No knots, splits or shakes at fixing points
- Straight grain with no significant bowing or warping
- MGP10 machine-graded pine meeting AS 1720.1:2010 — Timber Structures Code
- Timber framing compliant with AS 1684.2:2021 — Timber Framing Code
Upright Quality
NXGN Uprights are fabricated from mild steel and must be free of cracks, significant corrosion or structural damage. Any upright showing signs of fatigue, cracking or deformation must be taken out of service and reported.
Weight Block Installation
Weight blocks must be installed per NXGN Structural Drawings. The number of weight blocks per upright is determined by the panel height — refer to the Load Ratings & Weight Blocks guide for the complete load rating table.
